About Us

This renovated estate has been converted into a Country Inn surrounded by 30 acres of rolling hills near Galena, Illinois. Oscar Swan offers a country house with scenic views on the top of Jo Daviess County.

The Inn is ideal for a romantic getaway or families who want to rent the whole house to explore the Tri State Area and Galena. A delicious full breakfast is served every morning.

We are located only 10 miles from Galena, Chestnut Mountain Ski Resort and about 20 miles from the Mississippi.

The Inn has been fully renovated, sleeps up to 11 people. The Coach House is brand new and sleeps an additional 4 people. Oscar Swan Country Inn is ideal for romantic getaways, family reunions, intimate gatherings, and country weddings. The newly landscaped back of the house is ideal for larger events.

The house features a wood burning fireplace in the large living room, ideal to curl up with a good book and a cup of tea, full kitchen, beautiful patios and gardens to relax and enjoy the panoramic views. Feel free to build a fire in the fire pit and use the barbeque grill.
